Losing weight, advice?

Ive been trying to lose weight for awhile now and ive lost about a stone in weight over the past couple of months, i want to try and lose more.

I used to drink alot of cola (fat full) coke aha, now ive swapped to drinking less/diet alternatives will less calories in.

I walk alot for my job i walk for at least an hour everyday. I also got an ab roller recently and i do about 200 on it everyday.

Im trying to cut out chocolate/sugary foods but im finding it a little hard sometimes due to my job being stressful. Has anyone got any ideas of alternatives to these foods?

Ive started eating a yoghurt first thing in a morning, low calorie since i didnt usually eat breakfast and i start work at 7. I then normally have porridge (with fruit) made with water when i get home.

Any advice on how to stop hunger/cravings and healthy alternatives in the day would be great :)

Also is dropping your guided daily calorie amount a good idea? thanks :)

Any answers are welcomed!|||Firstly, I just want to say congratulations on losing a stone so far. That is brilliant.

The main thing about losing weight is to have a long term goal as well as small goals. If you only want to lose it for a wedding or something then there is a chance of it coming back again. Lose it for yourself Hun, but have small goals to help boast your moral, because there will come a point where you will think oh one couldn’t hurt.

When you say you’ve swapped your cola is it still a carbonated drink? Because the "diet" ones still have sugar in. The best one is pepsi max as it has no sugar, it uses sweetener. If you are avoiding pop altogether I’d suggest a drink called "just water" which is a juice drink made for squash fans. ( I don’t like juice but squash is good, this is the only nice juice). It is strong and refreshening, very nice.

As to snacks, preparation is the key, when you have free time why not make a lovely stew that you could freeze and section for portions for any day? Or make your own granola bars, food network have some nice healthy snack bar ideas that you could add your own twist to.

If you still want something chocolatey but always feel more hungary when you’ve finished I have a suggestion that has worked to me. There are individual pot portions of a yogurt called "total 0", this is very filling and I have a bottomless pit of a stomach, for the chocolately desire mix a sachet of a hot chocolate to the yogurt (I use options hot chocolate) and enjoy.

Hope this helps and good luck.|||First things first, cut out soda altogether, even diet soda.

Since you walk a lot, try walking at a fast pace whenever you are walking. This will get your heart rate up a little but it will help more if that heart rate was consistent.

To stop the hunger cravings try snacking on things like peanuts with high sources of protein and good sources of energy. Granola bars are another good thing to snack on.

Will power is what will make or break your goal. If you want to see results but keep eating fatty foods and drinking soda it will be very hard to see results.
